Dr. Chaco was the best! As a first time patient coming in with an eye injury, he was super attentive and did a thorough exam to help me get some answers. Yay!

I want to start by saying that I love the location. Being right in the heart of Rice Village makes it incredibly convenient and easy to get to. My wife's appointment was with Dr. Yasmine, and she was fantastic. She was extremely professional and incredibly thorough in assessing her prescription, taking the time to answer all our questions and ensure everything was perfect. We never felt rushed. After the exam, her staff was equally impressive. They were very knowledgeable and patiently walked us through all the associated costs, clearly explaining our insurance benefits and our various options for frames and lenses. They were also a great help in selecting frames that suited her. Furthermore, they offered a complimentary follow-up visit within 30 days to adjust the prescription if anything felt off, which we fully took advantage of. It gave us great peace of mind. The new lenses for the adjusted prescription were completely covered under the original cost. There were no hidden fees. During the exam, they also suggested retina imaging (back of the eye scanning) as a proactive health measure, explaining its benefits clearly without being pushy. We will definitely consider that for future visits. Overall, from the convenient location to the expert care and outstanding staff, I highly recommend Memorial Eye Center.

My friend recommended Dr Chacko because I was considering progressives. I tried progressives before 2 yrs ago and had to return them even after adjustments because I was dizzy and couldn't get used to it, and I still couldn't read. Dr Chacko was great and understood about what kinds of tasks I do at what distance. The other gentleman Gary was fantastic! He had progressives himself so he knew how to fit them. He had assisted me with a good size frame for the correction area to go wider and to transition at a certain area for the computer vs reading--- I've literally had almost no difficulty getting used to them. He gave me advice about getting accustomed. Therefore my nerves were reduced. I've had no dizziness or headaches! Just normal learning curve but I'm at work right now and can already read. If you are nervous about progressives request Dr Chacko and Mr Gary.

Yesterday was my first visit to MEC, Rice Village. Very efficient and professional staff. Yasmine was my doctor & she was great. Answered all my questions before I asked. Plan to use this clinic/optical shop from now on....

Dr Flanders and his staff are extremely nice and very helpful. Dr Flanders explained everything to me and was very calm and patient. He is #1 in Houston so go here and stop looking. I am so glad I found his practice it’s so cozy and in a wonderful area. Thank you guys!! You are all super awesome

Great friendly staff, first time being here and had a great experience, dr is very detailed and explains the exam. Took some images of my eyes and the doctor was great explaining on the health of my vision. I really recommended to anyone looking for a great service. The lady in the front was able to help me find my insurance and helped me find a great pair of glasses.

I had a great experience with Dr. Flanders. This was my first visit to this clinic, and he took time to listen to my prior issues with wearing contacts, and he diagnosed me with astigmatism that other optometrists had not diagnosed. He helped me find contacts that would help with that issue, and he even tried a few different prescriptions to make sure they were the perfect fit. For the first time, I can see perfectly and am comfortable wearing contacts. When it was time to pick out glasses, one of the ladies in the office nicely offered to help me choose, and she gave feedback as I tried on at least 20 pairs. She also gave me options for frames that were within my insurance coverage and price range. Also, their Saturday hours are great for people that work Monday - Friday. I appreciate their help and flexibility!

I was very happy with the time Doctor Flanders took to listen to my eye problems and, then, find the best solution for me. He took the time to conduct a thorough exam, then explain the results to me.
